Shortage of staff \/ Operational restrictions<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dear customers and tenants of AFG,<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, we are still struggling with acute staff shortage in the operational area, especially in
\nairport operations. The recruiting process is extremely difficult and lengthy. In addition, several
\nweeks of health-related absences in this area are now making the situation even worse. Due to
\napproval requirements by EASA, flight operations without a duty airport operations manager is not
\npossible in EDMA.<\/p>\n

For these reasons, we had to find the best possible compromise in coordination with the Southern
\nBavaria Aviation Authority with regard to a temporary adjustment of our operating hours in order
\nto remain able to meet this requirement with the existing staff. In the appendix you will find a
\ncorresponding restriction on our operating hours for the period November 9th, 2023 to March 31st,
\n2024.<\/p>\n

I can assure that we are working hard to improve the situation.
\nIf we are able to return to our regular operating hours before March 31, 2024, we will of course do
\nso immediately. However, I ask for your understanding that successfully recuited staff requires
\nseveral months of training.<\/p>\n

I can only sincerely apologize for this situation, but at the same time point out that unfortunately
\nthere is no alternative.<\/p>\n
